A cozy family-owned Italian restaurant: the father is the chef, one son is the bartender and it seems the mother plays a hand with recipes given the new menu item “Nonna’s Sunday Dinner.”

Best salad ever!

I know you can’t really see the salad in the picture. But, please believe me when I tell you that this is the best salad ever. It is so, so, so, sooooo refreshing. Truthfully, there is nothing amazing about the vegetables. It is just lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and kale. But, the vegetables taste so FRESH! Maybe, they have a garden in the back. Or maybe it is the lightly grazed olive oil and the hint of white balsamic vinegar. I don’t know the ingredients, but man-oh-man, trust me, TRUST me, this is the best salad ever! I hate salad, so if I tell you this is good, this is GOOD!

The artichoke dip was pretty good too.


Zuppa di Pesce mixed seafood, light tomato sauce w/ linguine

If you love seafood as much as I do, you have to get the Zuppa di Pesce. There’s scallops, clams, mussels, lobster, salmon, shrimp, and calamari. This dish was made for people who cannot decide what to order. So the easiest choice is to just “get everything” haha. And, then ask for a To Go box.

I also tried my friend’s Penne del Golfo with vodka sauce, and that meal was simply divine. The next time I head back there, and there WILL be a next time, I’ll get the Penne del Golfo with shrimp. That’s a promise.

It was Ladies Night in Ridgewood, NJ.
We needed the perfect meal to erase life's current challenges.
East Indian spices had to be the perfect remedy.


The mix of herbs and spices, embedded in our Lamb Biryani and 
Shrimp Achari Machli, was almost therapeutic. 
We were stunned into silence...
... especially when the waiter served us Tikka Masala sauce.
This sauce nulled all our GRE vocabulary. 
All we could muster was "Hmmm!" and 
"Ohmigod, this is sooooo good. So sooooo good!"  

The owner of the restaurant was so pleased by our foodgarsmic 
moments, that we were treated to dessert "compliments of the Chef."
